Oh my god, oh my god... OH MY GOD!!

The following post contains spoilers for the latest chapter of Mahou Sensei Negima!.


Before I go rant on about Mahou Sensei Negima's laest chapter, I will give it a review. :/
To be simple, Mahou Sensei Negima! is Exactly What it Says on the Tin. It's about a ten-year-old Englishman-boy named Negi Springfield who'd just graduated from a Magic school. For some mysterious reason, he needed to go teach at an All-girls school in Japan to finish his... something that I can't remember (to become a Magister Magi, a proper mage, I think). His ultimate goal is to find his father, the missing  Nagi Springfield who's known in the Magic Society as "The Thousand Master", the legendary young boy who'd saved the world.
So he goes to the all-girls school to teach there. And.... yeah. Actually, read the proper summary :/ >
Ten-year-old prodigy Negi Springfield, has just graduated from magic academy, and in order to become a master mage he is sent to Japan to teach English at an all-girls middle school. But Negi has a bigger dream than just becoming a master mage. He wants to find his missing father, "The Thousand Master", the strongest mage that has ever lived. And he soon finds that searching for his father wont be as easy as he first hoped. In fact, it pushes him and his students into life-or-death battles that decides the fate of millions.

And throughout all this, Negi finds out some of the secrets hidden in Mahora Acedemy Class 3-A. Are these girls, truly, what they seem?

...After a while, things get complicated. Much more complicated.

What almost all Negima! fans would probably say, including me: Negima! is not what it seems to be.
Read the first couple of chapters, then read the ones around chapter 300. See the vast difference? >.> It changes. BIG TIME.
It starts off like it's a Ecchi Harem Comedy manga with a "magic" tag thrown in. Then it turns into a totally badass action shonen manga with such complicated happenings that got me a little dizzy. xP
If you're like my friend, just ignore, endure, or maybe even enjoy - depending on who you are - the yuri and ecchi and you'll find yourself reading one of the best shonen mangas that ever came into existence.
Oh, but it'll take a while before that happens... :/ Go past the Kyoto and Willheim-whats-his-name arc and it gets TOTALLY EPIC. Past the Mahora Festival arc and it gets GODLIKE. Past that... its greatness tones down a little. =*= But still, the Mundus Magicus arc was just... too awesome to be put into words. ><

That [Oh my god, oh my god... OH MY GOD!!] was my reaction to Mahou Sensei Negima!'s latest chapter...

DAMN, THIS IS TOO SAD FOR WHAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE COMEDY. It's been like this lately, with Asuna going to sleep and all.
Her departure was already sad.
And then they went ahead and made her return even more sad... but it got better when Eva-chan and Chao appeared! xD But I did cry before that, when Asuna was looking at the content of the time capsule... TOT

And followed by the sad, touching scenes (after two epic characters shows up), they announce at the bottom of the page that NEGIMA WILL BE ENDING IN 3 CHAPTERS!!!! DAMN YOU!!

I'm in despair...

Negima! is an extraordinary popular manga. It's been up for less than a day and there's already more than 3 pages worth of forum posts regarding it. ==
On the topic of the Negima! forums. ...You know, I've always felt that the Negima forums is such a friendly and... tight-knit place. There are several regular members of that forum and they are total otakus. They know almost everything about MSN and also created and ran the Mahou Sensei Negima! Character Popularity Tournament 2011 last year. It's amazing. Those guys also regularly scold off people who don't follow forum rules. ...actually, the Negima forums are pretty clean, if you ignore the 4 or so new threads that have been made because of the newest chapter's happenings and the "only 3 chapters left" announcement.
It's just such a welcoming place [although they put me off a little when they go off into long paragraphs, which they do a lot]... unless you're a Negima hater. Then it's DEFINITELY not a welcoming place for you, I'll say. I dare you; go make a new thread and say something like "this manga is so terrible", and you'll be replied by at least 20 posts/people saying HOW WRONG YOU ARE... or maybe they'll ignore you totally.
I swear they all love debating. ^^ And they're all really good at it, too.

Anyhow, almost everyone in the fandom are showing their disappointments  with the "end in 3 chapter" thing. I myself am not "disappointed", but I feel sort of... empty. Mahou Sensei Negima!... is a cool story... it expands so much into lots of different genres; it's just...

"I'm in despair."


Worst, they seemed to have killed off the title main character... :/ ...Who does that!? The second main character now becomes the main focus, and apparently the main character's already died (after they did a 123-or-something-like-that years timeskip)!?

*sigh* Oh well, apparently the manga's been forced to end because Akamatsu-sensei had problems with the publisher, Kodansha... :/

Let's wait patiently because there's a two-week break after this chapter.... then the last 3 chapter of the series, if it's really true and not some sort of cruel April's Fool joke, although it's not April. ==
