Personally, I have always thought that dating sims and MMORPGs are extremely cool, and would love to try playing it once in my life. :3
So the other day, along with my friend who was at her own house - we communicated through Skype chat - I searched around for some interesting MMORPGs to try.
Grand Fantasia
Crystal Saga
Eden Eternal
...they all looked so cute, I almost died! (pure exaggeration! XD)
Oh, yes, I play games. :P ...Just saying that since I don't think I've ever mentioned... oh wait, no I have. I mentioned playing a Pokemon DS game once, I remember. Something about me not getting to do anything done since I got sucked into that certain game. :P
...Pokemon games are extremely repetitice and time-consuming after all, you'd have to admit...
My friend and I were going excited over this, but we ran out of time so we decided to do it the next day, since Grand Fantasia isn't browser-based (and neither is Eden Eternal).
I even explained to her that, most probably, I guess, the reason for the download is because there's a lot of data. So that when you play, it wouldn't take years to load.
...and the next day, she asks me, "Hey, the one that needed downloading, can you play with others online?"
I paused. Then I threw her an exasperated glance. "It's an MMORPG."
"Yes..." she replied. "...but can you play with people online?"
I frowned with impatience. "...It's an MMORPG," I repeated. Then I asked, "...do you know what MMORPG stands for?" I could've asked if she knew what an MMORPG was exactly, but that question was a bit too vague.
She shook her head, "Nope."
Then I told her something that I wasn't so sure of, something that I'd only actually ever read once, but I think it's right... ==" > "MMORPG stands for Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game."
And so if you combine the fact that I'd said that "you need to download since there's a lot of data" with "Massive Multiplayer Online", I hope she could come up with her own conclusion.
She looked at me expectantly.
"Yes," I finally said, giving up. I shouldn't have expected her to remember anything I'd told her yesterday, really. I mean, I asked her which one I should try registering with first, and she told me Grand Fantasia, and today she asks me which one I'd downloaded!
>< Like I said in the post before this one, I should totally be used to this already...
