Short Enough to Write, Long Enough to Post.

Finally. I got to actually say something. I've been short on time lately, so I could only write small passages (of which I posted on Facebook because status are supposed to be small anyway!).

But now... it's not really a "complaint", but who cares! (Well, actually, I'm trying to not complain about anything. So it's good.)

So after work I was revising for the Music Exam that was due to be sat tomorrow. (nervewrecking, I tell you…)
All the customers have gone home and I’ve done the daily income summary so there was no need for me to sit at the front, so I moved to the back (haha). I read over my revision once and half times over before deciding to go on a reciting marathon; write up as much as I can remember about each of the topics we’ve covered this term. As I was doing it, my co-worker – one of the waitresses – appeared, having also finished her own quota. She sat down then after a while asked, “Are you listening to music?” I was wearing earphones.
“Yes,” I replied idly.
“Oh my god! I could never study with music. It’s ‘too much’, you know? Too many things happening at once, I can’t concentrate! How could you do that?”
“…” I went blank for a second because I hate studying without having music play in the background. I answered honestly when the answers came to mind soon after. “I just… let it run freely in the background without paying much attention to it.” Then something else popped into my head so I added that, too, “And it’s also a good distraction; to practice my concentration. So then in the real test I’ll be able to concentrate well… you know?” Oh my, that makes it sounds so much more intelligent! ;) It’s just that I don’t like absolute silence because then my voice is too loud when I’m talking to myself, and there’s almost always absolute silence at home unless I play some music. It’s also a good filler for ‘something’ when I’m just thinking. Besides…
I realised this a little later, but the first real reason that I’d put music on earlier was because the noise coming from the kitchen was obviously way more distracting than Asian Pop!

~~

Just as a side note, finally arrived home at approx. 11.30pm…
Everybody in the house are making “I’m dead” noises, wishing to sleep but can’t because they needed food… (that’s only my mum and I, btw)
And so of course we ate.
YES, THAT’S RIGHT!! WE ATE AT 11.30PM!! HALF AN HOUR UNTIL MIDNIGHT, AND WE’RE EATINNGG!!
Unbelievable, isn’t it? (Especially for a certain person out there who told me to NEVERR eat after 9pm…)
But do I care? NOOOOOOO. If I’m going to go to school, work every day from 5pm – 10pm plus 11am – 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays, then I need energy! (It’ll probably burn off during my days anyhow… or something. =.=")

Adios~

A True Story. Contradiction, Much?

I have a tale I wish to tell. It is a real story.
myself found it hilarious, but that’s me only so maybe it isn't funny to others but more on the… disturbing side.

This happened on Monday, my day-off from work. Unfortunately a co-worker and friend of mine decided to take this to their advantage and pleaded me to help her with her assignment. Although barely important, I’d like you to note that she is a Year 12 student...

On Monday after school she came over – it was pure coincidence that she got there at the same time that I did. We entered my house and with the manners required of the house owner, I asked, "Are you hungry? Do you want to eat anything?"
She shook her head, "Nah, I’m really full. I just ate heaps of stuff."
"Okay," I responded with no continued insistency. This was the girl who complained almost every day about her weight and waistline. This was the girl who keeps telling me that she was on a diet. This was the girl who is planning on spending over $1000 AUSD on her clothes to her Formal Graduation Party. This was the girl that goes shopping at least once a week for new clothes.
I sat down next to her and began eating my dinner – I usually only have two meals per day, one before school and one after school, mainly because eating at school is inconvenient – a big pain.
As I read through what her assignment was about, I watched her eat the snacks that were on the table from the corner of my eyes, but didn’t comment on it. But then when I put down my plate, she stole a bite from my food so I finally decided to comment on it, "…I thought you said you were full."
"You were eating in front of me, so of course I’d start feeling hungry!" she responded defensively.
"…yeahh…"
"Go get more rice!" she ordered enthusiastically. I got up and grabbed the rice from the kitchen and gave her almost all of it. Including my part, it was more than enough to feed two people… it may not seem like much, but you must not forget that she was just "full" a few minutes ago.
She thought that what I gave her was too much, so she returned a small amount to my plate then began energetically eating her own share.
After she finished, and as I was writing out her assignment, she began complaining, "Ah. I ate too much. My stomach hurts. I need to take a poo." < this might be weird in English, but in Thai, it's actually pretty normal to say this, as long as you know the other person well...
"Then go do it."
"You know me; I’ll take forever. I won’t go now."
"Okay then,” I replied distractedly, 80% of my mind still on the assignment.
A few seconds later she started again, "My stomach hurts. I need to poo."
"Okay..." She complained "Ah! I can’t stand it anymore; I’m going to go take a poo."
"Have fun."
She returned around 15 minutes later from the toilet and sat back down.
Around 10 minutes after that she asked me, "Hey, don’t you have any food I can eat!?"
"…" I decided to remind her, "Didn’t you say you were full?"
"…" I myself thought that she probably took in all out in the toilet. ==
Then, feeling bored most probably, she went and used my treadmill (hoh, I have a treadmill in the living room! XD …I don’t even use it…), then moved on to the other exercise equipment – I don’t know what it’s called… Cardio Twister, was it? Anyway, she spent around 15 more minutes on that, then turned ecstatic when she saw the weight-measure thing (…I can’t remember what it’s called in English, sorry). She ran to it and weighed herself, then exclaimed cheerily, "Hey, I just went down a whole kilogram!"
Me: "Good for you."
She ran back to the Cardio Twister and continued on her expedition.
After 3 more minutes, she sat back down next to me. After 1 minute spent sitting down, she asked, "Hey, don’t you have any food that I can eat?"
"…" ...I kindly left her to her own devices...

I Ended Up Doing What the Enemy Wants, No Surprise

Responding to my own [latest] post, I did end up procrastinating, something that I was totally expecting myself to do...
I didn't have enough will. I really should put my mind to something properly.
...I really should. :/

And so, with that said, don't expect a post for a couple of days as I will try to prevent myself from doing unnecessary things until next week arrives. FYI,
I didn't do anything yesterday since it was my day off and I was not going to ruin it.
I didn't do anything today because I got sucked into a certain Pokemon DS game and it was already time for my coffee break, so I gave up doing anything.
Now I will read manga and finish off this post, then go do the more important tasks. :)
(Then work... then tasks... then sleep... then tasks... then shower, then coffee break... then tasks... then work...  then tasks... then sleep...)

Now that I've made this announcement I won't have to worry about ma' blog readers anymore, although I think I still will. :/
Hmm...
Oh, also, the above notice doesn't include the next post which will be about a certain manhwa. :)

Ja na~

A Cup of Coffee, Two Cups of Coffee, Three... Planning on Not Going to Sleep?

My mum once told me that it's never good to have too much of anything.
Of course, she was right, and I did agreed.

And yesterday I obviously had one too many cups of coffee.
My mum always tells me to only have at most, one cup of coffee per day. She said that I'm still young so I shouldn't drink too much and apparently it's not good for my skin (?), not that I really cared... (She drinks at least two cups a day!! xP)
I usually have only one cup of coffee per day, mind you, except for yesterday.

It was time for my usual "coffee break, snack time, sips while watching anime" heaven~
I think I visibly paled when I discovered that the usual coffee mix my mum and I share have ran out. Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! I screamed inside my head. :3
I glanced over to see a Cappuccino mix up on the bench. I looked at it doubtfully before giving it a try.

I took a sip then immediately took a deep breath. MY. This is freakin' strong. Oh well. It's coffee....
Maybe it really was too strong, cause I think it was the cause of yesterday's headache I'd acquired.

As soon as my mum came home I screamed. 'OHH NOOO! MUMMM!! WE'VE RAN OUT OF COFFEEEEE!!! COFFEEEEEE!!!! THERE'S NO COFFEEEEEE!!!'
This is definitely worse than the world blowing up!!
Good thing she'd stopped by the store before coming home and she'd already brought them.
And I was like, let's wash out that bitter taste. 'Two cups of coffee will be fine, just for today, right?'
I immediately got down to making it.... then I drank it..

Aah...
Delicious alone can't describe the taste of coffee. :3

Did you know that coffee tastes really good with chocolate crepes, pure chocolate and many other chocolate things?
I was just following "Mello"'s example here since I got my hands on some awesome Meiji chocolate when I went to Chinatown... =^= It really makes a "breaking noise" when I bit off it, if it comes right out of the fridge! 8D

...I'm too tired to attempt another translationnn....

Hmp, here goes...

แม่ของฉันเคยพูดไว้ครั้งนึงว่าไม่ควนกินอะไรอย่างนึงมากเกินไป
แน่นอนแม่พูดถูก แล้วฉันก็เห็นด้วยนะ

...Okay, if I actually attempt to translate the whole passage, this post will be delay by at least 3 freakin' days. T^T
So let's just post.
Happy reading~ :)

You See Where the Power of Obsession Can Lead...

Wheewwwwww wwewwww~!

I just heard quite the exciting news from my coworkers.

They were very excited as they told me that "Super Junior", a K-Pop band, is coming to Australia next month to perform a concert. :3 With no hesitation, they planned a 2-days 2-nights trip to Sydney, exactly like the time we went for the K-Pop Festival last year.
J-chan really loves Super Junior, so she was really excited. :3

I, in turn, was very excited about going to Sydney (I've been invited on their trip as well, because they like me, ahahaha >O< =.,<).
All that was running in my head; CAKE! FOOD! CHATIME! KINOKUNIYA!
...Seeing that I wasn't a K-Pop fan.

Now, I'd better save up some money for shopping and other expenses~
I've been granted permission from my parents, so now all is completely up to me whether I go or not. I have to miss a day off school (catching up is bothersome), and it's quite tiring to go on a holiday... it will be quite the rushed few days, no joke. ==

Aahh~
I'm in a good mood since I just got to read Bakuman's and Pandora Hearts' newest chapters which were both extremely good~

So then, so long,
From,
Mage-chan~

Laziness. But This Time it's Reasonable. Probably.

I would like to say the same things as I'd did in this post, but I won't, so you can just go re-read (or read) this post again. :/

Waitresses Has Such Annoying Needs

...that they could just fulfil themselves, yet DON'T and instead troubles others, specifically, me, for it. :/

I don't have anything against their needs, it's just... why the heck are you ASKING ME!???
Am I your boss? No.
Am I your caretaker? No.
Am I the manager? No.
Am I supposed to be looking after you? ...who knows, but I don't wanna.

This had been bothering me for two months already, I just haven't said anything about it. :/
But a conversation (?) yesterday triggered this.

I was drying the glasses peacefully when one of the waitresses came up to me and asked innocently in her usual happy tone, "Can I please have something to drink, Mage-chan?"
"..." I frowned and hesitated. "Umm... ah... uhh..." The look on her face didn't allow me to refuse. Then she had to go serve, so she left. Oh, but she came back later, and I gave her some pink sprite (Thai version). :/

The first thought that had occurred to my mind after she'd said those words were, "Dude, I haven't drank anything yet and you're expecting me to give you something!?"

Oh well.

I can understand why they would come to ask me for stuff - I'm their friend, and I have the privilege of getting anything out of the fridges without getting into trouble... and I've been working there for far longer than them, so naturally...
I also know why they don't take it themselves but ask me - usually, no one in their right mind takes drinks out of the fridge from the place they're working at anyway. But it seems the two new waitresses, especially Ae-chan, wasn't in her right mind or she was just too oblivious to the world because she actually did that for a while before I told her something that successfully went home (but now they keep bothering me with it).

How naive. Oh, but I'm quite naive myself. :)

When they first started working there, I had asked if they wanted drinks every time they had work - I was forced to ask them by my mum. She kept going, "Have you taken care of your friends? Do they have something to drink?"
Dude, why do I have to look after them!?? They're grown teenagers!

Meh. I succumbed to the temptation to yell in annoyance and asked them anyway. Usually, I would ask them anyway if I was in a good mood, but currently I am not in a good mood. :3

After a couple of days of me giving them drinks, they (namely Ae-chan, I think, since I saw her several times) began taking drinks out of the fridges themselves...

Seriously, who, and I mean, WHO, in their right mind, does that!???

Just because I do it, they imitate me.
...but why do they think they can imitate me? :/
Well, then again, I can understand their reasoning, although...
No, it makes no sense. That's why I said they're naive. (Oh, but I'll repeat, I'm quite naive myself :3)

After the second time I saw Ae-chan doing that, I told her, "when you take the drinks out, make sure that the boss doesn't see you."
She nods.
Oh, but then I saw her doing that a couple of more times and I couldn't stand it any longer. The hidden meaning behind my "make sure the boss doesn't see you" did NOT hit home. Plus, if I can see her, it usually means that the boss has a high chance of seeing her as well.
So I went, "Hey, you know, if the boss was really mean, she could accuse you of stealing, you know."
Ae-chan looks surprised. "Really?"
Me: Yes, what were you expecting!? Dude, you're taking out drinks from the fridges without permission; what's the difference of that to stealing!? < I think I said parts of this out loud.
R-chan joined in, "Really?"
Me, Are you stupid!?? "Yeah, if she was really mean."
She took the sprite can she'd taken out of the fridge with her anyway.

But it seemed that that sentence hit home since from then on they don't take drinks out of the fridges themselves anymore. And even if they do, it's not like they'll get into trouble (they probably will with Boss no. 2 though... he's big on everything), but it's not right... I don't know, protocol?

I mean, I'm going to repeat myself, who does that!?

Anywayyy, after that they would ask me when they want something to drink instead. And that would be almost everyday. Of course, they can just bring the drinks to work themselves and drink that, but they DON'T.

...It's just, unlike me, they're Australian, and doesn't have relations to the owner, and are still new, so they'd get treated differently, obviously. (What I mean by "what makes them think they can imitate me!?")
Well, several other staffs also takes drinks from the fridges themselves, but all of them have been working here for at least 2 years already, and are familiar with Boss-sama. They're qualified for such actions (that is, unless it's boss no. 2 we're talking about...).
...then again, it wasn't like they were in trouble (unless it's boss no. 2), because the boss is nice (somewhat).

And like, what also trigggered me to rant/complain about this was also another "request" by R-chan... she wants food...
Sometimes my mum would give away free food for them after work because she's nice like that.
...
So you should just except that with satisfactory! It's free, so what!?
And now you're asking me (again, why me!?) for food... I gave it to her the first time she'd asked anyway, putting me in risk of being scolded by boss. no 2 (he's been hanging around the restaurant too much lately... oh well, he's going on a holiday soon. 8D)
That's why I told her not to eat it now and put it at the back for her to go grab it. She was standing at the front, so if I gave it to her there, it'd totally be visible to both of the bosses.
But, no, it didn't work... She went to the back and grabbed it, then returned to the front with it in her hands, then said "thank you~!" to me ever-so-innocently which ticked me off a little. I gestured her to "move away" with my hand but it was far too late.
Of course, both bosses saw that and I can be certain that they just know that I gave the food to her. :/
...he didn't say anything to me, of course, but that's what he does. He pressures people with his stare. My mum has gotten it too many times already... she had to endure it to feed me. =O=

Gaaaaaah...
After that he asked me a couple of innocent sounding questions (with a smile, no less) that actually has hidden meanings like, "so your friend likes coconut rice" ...

As if I could stand that.

So when she asked me for food again, I flatly refused. And she gave me a disappointed "awww" sound. =*=

Dude, you didn't know the pressure I had to endure. I'm especially bad under pressure, you know? :/
Of course, that ticked me off too.

Plus...
We're not some kind of charity!
If you're hungry, go eat at home or buy it yourself! You already have an income!!!

Of course, if I was in a good mood, I'd have given it to her.... but as I'd mentioned earlier, I'm not in good mood right now. ^^
Or if Boss no. 2 wasn't there, it would be even better...

Hey! Boss no. 1 and Boss no. 2 are going off on a holiday soon, so, I can probably give you free food then... if I was in a good mood, that is.

....But right now, I'm not. :/
