Yesterday at work...
I walked over to the front [I took the day off since it wasn't very busy]...
Boss: Your two friends (E-chan and B-chan [also known as Ruu-chan and is also the friend I mentioned in my last post]) are quite *nod nod* good at working.
Me: Oh?
Boss: The customers said they're very good.
Me: Oh-hoh.
Boss: It's like, you know... probably because they smile a lot. The other adults [staffs/waitresses] don't smile very much anymore.
Me: They're stressed about life.
Boss: Yeah, like [our other waitresses] don't smile as much as they use to anymore.
Me: Uh-huh. Ahh... how nice it must be to be kids... LOL, even I gave up smiling unless it's critical... There's too much to think over. Life is just too stressful. I guess kids can still smile because they don't have to worry about starving to death or anything in the future yet... how nice...
I thought my boss was going to say, "you're a kid too" but she didn't... :P
Huh? I thought you were supposed to smile if you worked in a restaurant, though....I thought you were supposed to smile if you worked in any job which is manly focused on interacting with customers..meh..

She even lets them call her 'boss,' isn't that nice~!
On the topic of smiles, (perhaps in a round-about way), when B-chan was driving to work last night, she saw a person standing in the middle of the road with a poster that said 'smile' on it, and the person was waving it at every person and car which passed. I think she wondered if it was a dare, or maybe just some super happy person, trying to spread there love around, or a lonely person who lost their way to an anime convention.
Wait, the way you written this makes it seem like E-chan and B-chan are kids...hmmm...well don't forget that B-chan is older that you... :P
But it's true, B-chan doesn't stress about life very much, even if life gets stressful for her sometimes - which might not be very good...
You are supposed to smile.
